Come along and experience Norway’s scenic route – The Atlantic Road, on an exciting bus round-trip tour that takes you from Kristiansund to Molde and back. Enjoy the stunning vistas of regal mountains and stunning fjords. This is an ideal tour for anyone who loves sightseeing.
Your 7.5-hour bus expedition along Norway’s Scenic Route kicks off at the Kristiansund bus terminal. You will meet your FRAM guides and depart from Kristiansund. The bus will take you from Kristiansund to the Atlantic Road. The Atlantic Road is a spectacular piece of architecture that connects Averøy to the mainland. It consists of a series of 8 bridges and roads that connects a few islands and islets. The Atlantic Road measures 8.3 kilometres and is a National Tourist Route.
At the Atlantic Road, there will be a stopover at Eldhusøya. Here you can take a walk along the suspended walkway around the islet. The walkway consists of a series of grids perched above the terrain. The old service building is another attraction at Eldhusøya. It’s marvellous architecture blends with the natural terrain. There are spectacular views of the landscape, the birdlife and fishing spots.
Next, you embark to Molde. Molde is a charming small town along the fjord. A popular attraction in Molde is the “Molde Panorama”. This is a remarkable row of majestic mountains on one side of the fjord. We recommend you take some time to explore the fjord, the Molde town centre and the mountains before leaving this idyllic town. In the summer, Molde hosts an International Jazz Festival that brings out the town’s charming culture.
After a while, you will begin the return trip to Kristiansund via Batnfjorden and Frei where you will enjoy stunning vistas of regal mountainscapes and dazzling fjords. Check for availability and join us on this exciting tour today!
