Oslo Grand Tour
Come along on this essential tour of Oslo. On this tour, you will see the Capital's most popular attractions.
During the 7-hour excursion, you will be presented with the life, art, culture, and museums of the city, before embarking on a scenic boat ride through Oslofjord. This is a tour for everyone looking to make the most of their day in this vibrant Scandinavian capital.
Get ready to experience the urban life of downtown Oslo, where the bustle of the main street Karl Johans Gate never ends. See the cafés, jazz bars, nightclubs and popular shopping centers in and around this beloved city center.
You will furthermore be visiting the monumental Holmenkollen Ski Jump, location and embodiment of more than a century of ski jump competitions - the thrilling Olympic sport that originated in Norway.
Then, it is on to Vigeland Sculpture Park, the most popular tourist attraction in the whole of Norway. The 45-hectare public park hosts an abundance of beautiful sculptures, along with bridges, fountains and the Oslo City Museum.
After having experienced the centre, you will travel west to the Bygdøy Peninsula, where several of Oslo’s most popular museums are situated. There, you will have the choice of visiting either the Fram Museum or the Kon-Tiki Museum.
The Fram Museum hosts Fram; the strongest wooden ship ever built, where you can board it and take part in a polar simulator to experience the cold and dangers of the polar exploits over a century ago. The Kon-Tiki Museum is dedicated, in great detail, to Norwegian adventurer Thor Heyerdahl, who crossed the Pacific Ocean on a balsawood raft in 1947.
Whichever you choose, the tour also includes a visit to the Norwegian Folk Museum, one of the world’s largest and oldest open-air museums. It hosts over a hundred traditional houses and the extraordinary Stave Church, a must-see attraction of Norway.
After a day full of culture and city sightseeing, the tour concludes with a scenic and relaxing cruise through Oslofjord, where you can enjoy the splendour of the cityscape from the sea.
