Explore western Norwegian towns and villages of Alesund, Sjoholt, Trollstigen and Geiranger on an exciting bus round trip. Experience two of the most breathtaking roads in Norway and enjoy stunning vistas of regal mountainscapes and dazzling fjords. This is a tour designed for anyone who loves nature and sightseeing.

Your 10-hour sightseeing expedition starts at Alesund bus terminal, where you will meet your FRAM guides and prepare for your trip. The bus trip takes you from Alesund and heads for the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Geirangerfjord. The Geirangerfjord is an awe-inspiring work of nature. It is a picturesque scenery of steep mountains, charming farmhouses nestled on the mountainsides, stunning waterfalls and dazzling fjords.

There will be a 1-hour stopover in Geiranger, giving you some time to enjoy this masterpiece of nature. Afterwards, your bus continues on to the Andalsnes passing through Valldal. On this scenic route, you will experience the marvellous Trollstigen. Trollstigen is one of Norway’s most visited tourist sites and is well known for its Trollstigen plateau.

The Trollstigen plateau’s highest point lies 850 metres above sea level and offers amazing panoramic views. At this point, there will be a short stopover allowing you to enjoy the spectacular views and take some memorable photos. Next, the bus will curve down the 11 hairpin turns heading for Andalsnes.

Your return trip from Andalsnes will take you through Romsdalsfjord. Romsdalsfjord is yet another absolutely gorgeous natural masterpiece. It is the ninth-longest fjord in Norway, measuring at 88 kilometres. You will drive over the Tresfjord bridge. The Tresfjord bridge is a spectacular work of architecture and spans 1290 metres across Tresfjorden.

As an alternative,  there is another travel combination on this tour. If you do not wish to travel to Geiranger, it is possible to stop at Valldal and take a detour on bus 210 that will take you from Linge to Valldal instead of taking the ferry from Linge to Eisdal.

This option gives you more time to explore Valldal until your main bus, bus 220 returns from Geiranger. Please contact us for more details regarding this option. Check for availability and book your spot today!
