There are approximately 75 species of whales in Norway. The North Sea is rich in food source which is important as most whales need to eat about 5% of their body weight each day. During summertime sperm whales are the most common whale to see. They tend to spend the summer in the cold Arctic water before migrating towards warmer waters in Autumn.

The whales are peaceful marine mammals and it's a true joy to observe them.

The tour starts with a 200km drive from Svolvær towards Andenes in the Vesterålen Islands, the best place to admire these gigantic creatures. The drive takes about 3 hours and is very picturesque. You'll have the opportunity to view some of the most majestic views of Norway on this 3-hour drive.

In Andenes we get into RIB boats, making this a unique and exciting experience. The boats are safe and very flexible allowing us to get closer to the whales.
