The first part of your tour takes you from Andalsnes to the Helland high-speed ferry in Vestnes. Upon arriving at the ferry harbour, the bus will drive onto the ferry. The ferry will sail to Furnset ferry harbour as you enjoy the gorgeous views. From the Furnset ferry harbour, your trip continues by road to Molde. Molde is a gorgeous town in the Romsdal county, Norway. It is located along the northern shore of the Romsdalsfjord. The Romsdalsfjord is Norway’s ninth longest fjord measuring at 88-kilometres. As you drive on the Trollstigen route, there will be a short 25-minute photo stopover at the Trollstigen plateau. At this point, you will meet you FRAM guides and embark on the bus trip. The first leg of your trip takes you from Molde to Sjøholt. There will be a short 35-minute ferry ride offering you an opportunity to view Molde from a seaside view. We recommend that you sample the Svele; a sweet pancake while on the ferry. Upon arrival at Sjøholt, your trip continues to Valldal. Valldal is famous for its sweet strawberries, which you will sample during a short stopover as you marvel at the gorgeous Fjord views in Valldall. Next, your bus trip will take you to through one of Norway's National Tourist Routes, Trollstigen. There is a famous natural attraction at Trollstigen, the Trollstigen plateau. This plateau lies 850 metres above sea level and gives spectacular views of the terrain. This is a perfect spot to take some amazing photos, so please bring a camera with you. You will then drive down the hairpin road towards Åndalsnes. When you arrive at Åndalsnes, you will have a chance to relax and stretch your legs around the town as you enjoy the views of the majestic mountains and historical architecture of the Norsk Tindesenter building. You will have a selection of two departure times. If you choose to stay longer, we recommend that you take a hike up to the “Rampestreken” viewing point. Join us on this picture-worthy tour as we explore the Romsdal valley. You will journey to up the infamous Trollstigen (Troll Road) mountain road as well as visit the Trollveggen (the Troll Wall). The excursion starts out from the center of Åndalsnes. Once you get on the bus, you will travel out of Åndalsnes to your first stop. Trollveggen is Europe’s tallest vertical rock face and truly a sight to behold. From Trollveggen you will also be able to view Romsdalshorn, a popular mountain for climbing. After a short photo stop, the real adventure begins. You now head towards Trollstigen. It had taken eight years to build when Trollstigen was opened in 1936. Since then, the road has become one of Norway's most popular attraction, with its 11 hairpin bends and 10% incline. Every bend in Trollstigen has its name and you will find name signs placed by every curve. As you move up the mountainside, you will be able to get a closer look of the three mountains called the King, the Queen, and the Bishop. At the end of Trollstigen, you will make another stop. At the Trollstigen plateau, you will find a restaurant, restrooms, a souvenir shop and a paved path which will lead you to two platforms. From here you will be able to enjoy the stunning view over the valley, observing Trollstigen from above and its surrounding mountains.
