The easiest way to travel to the renowned Lofoten archipelago in Northern Norway is via Oslo Gardermoen airport (OSL code). From there, you have two choices. You can either fly to Harstad/Narvik Evenes airport (EVE code), pick up a rental car, and drive about 4 hours southwest to Lofoten. Alternatively, you can simply fly via Bodø airport (BOO code), and connect with another domestic flight to Leknes airport (LKN code). The latter solution puts you smack in the middle of Lofoten, and you can easily rent a car at the airport and start your Arctic adventure from there. Domestic flights in Norway can be purchased from www.sas.no, www.norwegian.no or www.wideroe.no.

In terms of companies offering rental cars, you can book via www.hertz.no, www.avis.no or www.europcar.no
