Bergen City Break | Gateway to the Fjords

Your second day will commence with an idyllic four-hour sightseeing cruise along the waters of Puddefjord. En route you will behold the view of Mount Fløyen and the funicular railway Fløibanen, as well as the majestic fortress Bergenhus and the World Heritage site Bryggen. Come afternoon; you are free to explore whichever city sights suit your fancy. Why not pick your favourite sight of the boat tour to explore further, or shop for a fresh catch of the day at the local Fish Market in the heart of Bergen. As the evening arrives, you have a wide variety of local restaurants, cafés, bars and nightclubs to choose from, before retreating to your accommodation for the night.

On your third day, you have the option of leaving the city behind and embark to the great outdoors of the surrounding nature.  Allow your tour providers to help you select the most ideal of activities, be it a rail tour of some of the most stunning landscapes of Norway, or a mountain bike excursion with a fjord safari.  The rail tour takes you up Raundal Valley to Myrdal station, where you will jump on the famous Flåm Railway before embarking on a fjord safari on a RIB boat. As you arrive in Gudvangen Village, you continue through Nærøydael and Stalheim, before reaching Voss; the outdoor capital of Norway.   The other option sees you jump off the Flåm Railway to Berekvam, where you leave the crowd behind for a mountain bike excursion with an experienced guide. Once in Flåm, you swap your bike for RIB boat and continue on your safari with a stop at the aforementioned villages.  These activities are available as add-ons of your package. Whichever activity you choose, you will find yourself traveling back to Bergen from Voss for the evening, where your accommodation awaits. 

All good things must come to an end, as you will make your way back to Bergen Airport after your complimentary breakfast. Have a safe flight home and know that Norway will always be waiting for your return.
