Kayaking on a Glacier is a once in a lifetime experience and now is the chance to do it! Join us on an exciting adventure where begin with a kayak trip on a glacier lake by the world-famous 5000-year-old glacier. You will get to experience the majestic beauty of the cold waters that come from the ice, in a serene and awe-inspiring scenery.
Since the water is cold (even for a Norwegian) we will wear dry suits during the kayak trip in the glacier lake. As we make our way to the Møsevass Glacier we are on the lookout for icebergs and if we're lucky we get to see one. Arriving at the glacier we're treated with an incredible view of the blue ice coming into the lake.
This tour is suited to newcomers and to those experienced to Kayaking, given the fact that you will be riding in a sit-on-top kayak. These kayaks are far wider, and thus, more stable than the average kayak, making them easy and fun to handle.
The total paddle tour is about 5 km. and the trip lasts a total of 4-6 hours. depending on the weather and the conditions on the day of the excursion and the speed of your group. Make sure to book fast and make memories that surely will last a lifetime!

It's recommended to bring wool underwear and warm/wind/waterproof clothing, mountain boots and gloves. Sunglasses and sun lotion are also recommended as the sun reflects brightly from the glacier.
If you're unlucky and turn over in the kayak all your clothing might get wet. Be sure to bring an extra set of clothes so you can change after the trip if it's needed. You should also bring a towel if you need to dry up.
We provide all the necessary kayaking equipment. We can also bring mountain boots for you; select this option in the booking and choose your shoe size.
