The Stalheimskleiva road is recognized to be the steepest road in Europe. At it's steepest, it reached a gradient of 20%. The 1.5-kilometre long road is known for its 13 hairpin bends and view of two scenic waterfalls, Stalheim (126 m) and the Sivle (142 m).
