Come along for this essential tour of Geirangerfjord. This is a compact tour that brings you to the must-see sightseeing spots in Geirangerjorden, which is one of only two fjords in Norway to be listed as a UNESCO wold heritage sites. During the 3,5-hour tour, you will see the best of what Geirangerfjord has to offer.
Your journey begins in the village of Geiranger, deep inside the infamous fjord. As you step onboard the bus, it will depart from Geiranger and start its ascent through the mountain roads.
Going through numerous hairpin bends, you will find your way to Flydalsjuvet. This impressive viewpoint has produced many of the most iconic images of Norway, showing Geirangerfjord in its full glory.
After a short stop in Flydalsjuvet, the bus will take you further up, all the way up the famous mountain Dalsnibba. The viewpoint at the top of Dalsnibba is approximately 1500 meters above sea level.
The views from the top of Dasnibba are no less stunning than those from Flydalsjuvet. The breathtaking view over Geiranger and Geirangerfjord will undoubtedly call for some camera-worthy views.
From Dalsnibba, the excursion continues to Djupvatnet, an idyllic lake which lying approximately 1000 meters above sea level. Yet again you will find yourself forced to take your camera to eternalize the unique views that the Geirangerfjord is known for.
Your last stop before your last leg home will take you to the iconic Eagle Road. This spectacular piece of mountain road is world renowned for its 11 hairpin bends and for being the steepest part of the Trollstigen mountain road.
Once you arrive at the last hairpin bend, the bus will stop for a break. There you can walk to the viewing platform for another majestic view of the Geirangerfjord. From this point, you will be able to spot the impressive waterfall, the Seven Sisters.
After this stop you will head back home to Geiranger, continuing your journey through the winding and tumultuous mountain roads.

In order for our excursions to be available for everyone, the time of departure/arrival of each excursion is set to match the itineraries of the cruise ships. In case a time of departure needs to be adjusted, you will be notified in time.
We advise all our guests to be well prepared for different temperatures. Up in the mountains, it can be colder than in the village of Olden. A warm jacket and appropriate shoes are recommended. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Children under 5 years of age can participate in the tour without charge.
