This amazing journey will introduce you to some of the most breathtaking landscapes that Fjord-Norway has to offer and will present you with a panoramic view of Lysefjord and the surrounding mountains. If conditions are good, you may even get to experience an alternate route as you make your way back to the Preikestolen Mountain Lodge.
The tour begins in the early morning as you’re picked up at your desired location and driven to the base of the hiking trail. This comfortable ride will give you the chance to view much of Norway’s landscape as you prepare yourself for the exciting adventure ahead of you. Once you’ve arrived at the trail, your tour guide will provide you with a brief discussion of how the day will progress, and then you’ll be on your way to Preikestolen. You will be lead through shifting terrain on the journey, with multiple stops at vantage points along the way for a series of quick breaks and photo opportunities.
After 2-3 hours of hiking, you will arrive atop Preikestolen, located 604 meters above the ground and overlooking Lysefjord and the surrounding mountains. While you breathe in the crisp mountain air and take numerous photos, you'll be served with a snack and warm drink so that you can re-energize for the remainder of the tour. After this relaxing break, your guide will escort you to a special area that provides a unique view above both Preikestolen and the Lysefjord.
From there, you'll make your way back to the Preikestolen Mountain Lodge either via the traditional path or an alternative route, depending on weather conditions. Once you've arrived at the lodge, you'll be treated with freshly baked bread and a delicious bowl of homemade soup before finally being delivered back to your point of origin.
