Searching for an incredible hiking trip where you can enjoy a beautiful landscape and decompress from all of life's worries is easier than ever with the Preikestolen and Lysefjord Winter-Spring Off-Season Hike Tour. Every year, thousands upon thousands of hikers flock to this gorgeous area of Norway, and once you've experienced it, you will want to come back every year, and maybe even every season.
Since this incredible hike is rated at a moderate difficulty level, you want to have some hiking excursions under your belt, in addition to being in relatively good physical shape. The items that you will be asked to bring for the trip, several of which can be rented, include water-resistant pants, proper hiking boots, a warm hat and gloves, a rainproof jacket, a fleece or woolen sweater, a pair of warm socks, a small backpack, and something to eat and drink such as a light lunch, snacks, and water.
You'll be picked up in the early morning either at your hotel or a similar location for a 30-minute drive to the bottom of the hiking trail. Along the way, you will journey through the longest undersea road tunnel in the world. Once you arrive, you'll be given a short briefing and a hot cup of coffee, and then you and your group will set out on your exciting adventure into nature.
The hike itself will last 2.5-3.5 hours, and you will be given ample opportunity along the way to stop and take photos of the breathtaking surroundings. If Norway's landscape wasn't already beautiful enough, the winter and spring seasons offer an experience that is almost impossible to describe. In the winter season, much of the area will be blanketed or spotted with snow. And as the months go on, the spring season will bloom with beauty as vegetation flourishes once again.
After reaching the cliff overlooking the Lysefjord and resting for a bit, your guide will take you along an alternate route not found on any maps for an additional two hours until you reach Refsvatn Lake. If you're visiting between February and April, a delicious bowl of homemade soup and freshly-baked bread will be served at the Preikestolen Mountain Lodge.
Once you're ready to go on the adventure of a lifetime, be sure to sign up for the incredible Preikestolen and Lysefjord Winter-Spring Off-Season Hike Tour. Check the available dates and book your trip today.
